Since Wes has the Ghost Town in the Sky covered with his PTR then I will not bore you folks with the same pics. I will just skip up to the Lake Winnie in Rossville,GA. If you have not ever been to to Lake Winnie then what in the heck are you waiting for. It is one of those gem of a park that is really worth going to but it is abit out of the way unless you are going up 75 from Hotlanta but is worth the time to stop and enjoy it plus they had a kick butt fireworks show on the 3rd that was impressive to say the least and now onto the pics:
What would a ship be without water and a nine minute ride cycle?
It's the added touches to the park that makes it stand out.
They have a car ride with alot of shade
Had a coaster that I have not rode before and it was the Wacky Worm!
My riding partner was Caroline whose Parents run Rideworld
Had a 1916 PTC Carousel they got from a defunct park near Atlanta
These are real wooden horses
Interesting paintings on this one
Not that crowded for the 3rd of July
Had a real good set of super fast Swings
Here is something that some of you have never saw before since not many are around.
Fly-O-Planes are fun but very physically demanding rides
For all you Orbiter Fans on the board
Park has a great setting
For the jr thrill seekers
Park has been here a number of years to see trees like this.
Star attraction of the Park, The Cannonball
Unlike Pedro at South of the Border, this L&T Mouse does work.
Here is the Alpine Skyride and the free with paid admission Paddleboats.
The Boat Chute which I think is the only one left of its kind today.
You would never see this acess in any of the larger parks in the US
Just to give you a better Idea of the access.
Park looks great from the swinging boat area
Sun is setting and Fireworks are not to far off.
Pirate at night
Swings as dusk takes over the world
It begans
I will say that I think the Cannonball is one of the most underrated coaster. You really do not hear alot about it but will say the last two wooden coasters I have rode where better than some of the newer ones that are being built today.
Next up some Manta and Maybe some Rocket Action from this coming weekend so stay tuned.
