Wes and I have discussed this briefly, and I think we are going to do it. Saturday, October 7th we will make a brief stop at Kings Dominion to ride Italian Job, Volcano, Grizzly, the flyers, etc; whatever we have time for. After a couple of hours there we will head on up to Washington DC, and ideally check into a hotel downtown that is convenient to a Metro station. We should have time for a touristy thing or two in the capital that afternoon, and then at 7 PM that night, it is the home opener for the Washington Capitals, against none other than the Carolina Hurricanes. Sunday we will go to Six Flags America (the park doesn't open until noon, so maybe another touristy thing in the morning) for a while, and then drive back to Raleigh.
