FYI Chris posted this on RideWorld:
As for night of Thunder, I am thinking it will be in August now since ACE and DAFE have events at Dollywood in April. It wouldn't much sense to have three enthusiast events in a span of a month.
BTW happy birthday Alan 8)

Thanks for the B-day shout...

August... ughh, it will be hot I guess. I'm planning on grabbing the cabin again if your interested in sharing some of the cost.

I'm starting to reconsider Night of Thunder. Not only will it probably be incredibly hot, but the park could be absolutely packed as well. Today the park was so crowded that they had to close the gates for a little while.

I'm thinking maybe a weekday next month or later in the summer.

I'm going to go up there Thursday for the day with Matthew. Get it done before it gets too hot and before the crowds get too bad.

I want to hit NOT at some point, but August is not my idea of fun.

I'll probably not be heading back there again this year as I have to watch my funds the rest of the year.

Yes, far too hot to be enjoyable.

Might be hot but think of it this way. Think hot plus sundown equal some hellish night rides on Thunderhead with the added bonus of the Mine in the dark. But I live right down the road and do not plan on going back there till this day.

Sorry for the two post in a row thing but had some info to drop for those thinking about NOT. It will be Aug 4th -Aug. 5th. Yes it will be two days. One day will be at Splash Country since it will be abit hot and will be a great way to cool off.

More info will be out next week.
