"We Are The 80's" Party - 6/23 - 3pm - Until???

Post by AMartin777 »

We will be holding the first annual "We Are The 80's" party here at the Martin pad on June 23rd.

We have lots of ideas/plans for this but are open to everyone's suggestions. All are invited for an evening of food, games, movies, music and mayhem.

It's gonna be totally Radd dude!

I thought the party was for the 23rd since we couldn't get to the beach?

Your right! I had the wrong date, I've corrected it to the 23rd!

What a TOTALLY GNARLY (sp?) idea DUDE!!!

I am so going to break out my SOCK TIE. (All of the kids scratch their heads). Yes, I still have mine. Not that I wear it.

Too bad Chuck Jones are like $100 freakin dollars these days. I'd so go and get a pair.

Alan send me directions to your "pad" (isn't that actually 60s talk).

So I guess this replaced the Whootah Anniversary Party?

no the stupid whootah anniversary party never happened, its no longer the anniversary anymore. personal issues at the hart household and other get togethers kept pushing the date back from january / february. Not to mention we just had a lack of new content from the previous year. Unless we want to sit and watch a slide show of like 12000 pictures we really dont have any new videos.

Phil is right. Our production of new videos has been practically non-existant. (I'll take the blame for it). Phil has been going through hell this year with deer and dears.

I really am working on a new batch of videos though and hope to have several ready for posting soon. Perhaps we will have a late year Whootah party instead, once some videos are ready. In fact, I think the best way to do it will be to premeire the vids at the party so you'll have to attend if you want the early scoop! :)

I'll send you a message with the address Wes! Glad you can make it. Will you need to stay Saturday night? We can find you some room with either us, John or Phil.

Plans are coming together nicely! Lots of activities to keep the kiddies happy.

At this point we are counting on the following attendees:

Myself and Barbara (of course)
John
Phil
Wes
Jon
Mike & Sue (with Katherine of course)

let me know if this is incorrect! All are welcome.

BTW - our plan is to start at 3:00pm so you can arrive anytime from 3pm on. We intend to have everyone pitch in a few bucks and order Pizza around 5-5:30 but Barb and I will be providing heavy snacks, drinks, etc.

Till then homeys!

So I'd better burn off a few extra calories this week. lol

Sounds fun.

Do you want me to bring any 80s movies or CDs?

I've got many of the standard 80s movies, Top Gun, Pretty in pink, Ferris Bueller, etc.

Bring anything/everything. I don't know that we can get it all in but it can't hurt. :)
