Carolina Railhawks - 8/26

Post by Jonathan »

So we have a "professional" soccer (that's saw-cker in Raleigh talk) team in Cary now called the Carolina Railhawks. They play in USL-1, which is one step below MLS. They play at SAS Soccer Park. Chris is the mascot (Swoops), so he got me a free ticket a few weeks ago. I have to say, it was a pretty good time. It's good cheap entertainment.

I see that there are two home games left this season after tonight. Sunday, August 26th vs Montreal at 6 PM, and Saturday, September 1st vs Portland at 7:30 PM. Would anybody be interested in going to one? Their website is http://carolinarailhawks.com/, and i see that on the September 1st game you can get 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks, and 4 programs for $44.

Railhawk sounds like a roller coaster at Kings Island or something.

I like soccer, but rarely go to games anymore.

I just was informed that the 1st is NC State's first football game, so I won't be able to go to the Railhawks game that night. I was also informed that the 26th is Swoops's (the mascot) birthday, and Chris might be able to get some free tickets.

I'm ready for some N.C. State Football. I wonder what games I'll be able to see on TV this year.

Well, I can't speak for Phil but I can tell you that John, Barb and I should be in. I would imagine Phil is too.
