I don't think any of us have a season pass again this year, so this is a good deal to go to the park. $41 without a season pass.

I'm glad to see the interest in Coaster Stock. Tickets will go on sale for the event in the next coming week. I will keep activities and the itinerary up to date at http://www.carowinds.com/news. I'll let you guys in on the information for the event first. Here is what we have planned (subject to change):
Early ERT, Night ERT, Q&As with GM & Maintenance personnel, Carowinds Museum, Behind-the-scenes tour, Park Jeopardy competition (choose your teams wisely!), Carolina BBQ Feast all-you-can-eat MEAL, special Free-bees, Scavenger Hunt, Kiddie coaster credits, FREE ride photo for Carolina Cobra, Scooby Haunted Mansion shoot-out, and more, including a big surprise!
The event will basically run from 7am-Midnight. The meal must be purchased to attend. Below are the combo and meal only prices for the event:
Regular $40.98
Jr/Sr $39.98
Season Pass $15.99
When the tickets go live, you can purchase them at http://www.carowinds.com/shop/shopping_ ... p_id=stock, password: stock.
We also have very reasonable rates at our campground, Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort, and plan on renovating and opening a second lodge, installing satellite TV in our cabins, and sprucing up the landscaping.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask (dare I say that again!). You may email me at danielle.swords@carowinds.com.
This sounds good enough that I think it might actually get me to go back tot he park this year.

DOUBLE EDIT: I just realized two things. One, the event is the end of July, not June. It might be hot as hell. Two, July 24 is a Friday. Not so sure about that...

Schedule :

Saturday, July 24, Carowinds is holding it's first park-sponsored enthusiast event after many years of Regional and other ACE activities. The schedule announced, while subject to change is;

This could be fun... if it isn't 1000 degrees like you say Jonathan. Do you know if C3 planned again for this year?

Tentative 9/12. http://www.acesoutheast.org/site/events.php#9

I'm planning to hit Spring Fling as well with JD, if anyone is interested in tagging along or whatever you are welcome. JD can hold 2 other people in his car. I don't think he would mind. We are staying at the Wingate I believe near the park.

So if we are having ERT on Top..er Afterburn, are they going to make us 3 people get off and walk all the way around for re-rides?

Did she ever set a deadline when we had to buy our ticket?

This is quite a good deal too, because the Backyard BBQ thingy is like $14.99 alone if you just go to the park on your own. Adding ERT and such for a whole $1 is a deal compared to a certain park to our south. *cough SFOG cough*

Right now, I plan on being there. Don't know if I can last the whole day in the park though.....LOL

If you're referring to the cost of the event, there's factors involved in the cost that you really don't know about. Notice the cost difference between C3 and SF. (or CF and 6F. That should give you an answer right there.)

I don't see any huge differences. Both parks offer ERT, both offer a meal, I just don't see why Six Flags charges so much more.

I love Spring Fling, but still the cost is a bit much IMHO.

At some parks, you pay for ERT. At some you don't. Simple as that.

Plus if the event is a Park Sponsered Event than the park is picking up the tab for any ERT as opposed to a Coaster Club event where the park passes the cost of having to staff the Coasters for ERT along to the people in attendance. SOme parks tend to pick that up also but OG has not been known to be one of those parks.

Hey Jay...you wanna have a birthday party that day during Coaster Stock? I won't be there the next weekend because I have to be with Dad on his. I can never schedule C3 to fall on the 1st. I'm pretty sure I can get us a cake :)

Honestly I do not like cake,(WTF I know) but I would not be opposed to a duel birthday party of some sort.

I spoke with Dani the other day in the park and she said that whoever comes to Coaster Stock is going to get a nice surprise. As in, something to do with next year I guess.

I'm still planning on going, just waiting till the first of July to get mine.
