This is just ridiculous. This thing basically does everything Hades does repeatedly, then throws in Shivering Timbers. And dare I say some of that return trip looks Thunderhead-esque? I am stunned. If this runs the way Hades does it will be the best ride in the world hands down.

Maybe it's there but who will be the company putting this thing in???

The Gravity Group is doing it. They've already tried out the steep drop, 90 degree banking, and underground tunnels with Hades and it all worked perfectly, so I guess now they are taking it to the next level.

Now, I'm a fan of Shivering Timbers (have 185 laps on it currently, about to hit 200 sometime soon), and the second I saw this I thought "damn! It's like Shivering Timbers on steroids!"

I'll definately be taking the trip down there next year to ride it. DEFINATELY.

Well, I'd say it's time to start talking about some major planning, as you said Jon.

Is it wise for us to consider opening day next year?

BTW - Which part of Michigan are you in Reality? Our friend John Bedtelyon (he's in a bunch of the vids) is from Michigan also.

I'm from Grand Ledge, which is west of Lansing. It's also funny how my name is Jon as well. Quite a coincidence, if you ask me.

I've actually been considering working at Holiday World next summer, but probably in the food department (I love working with food). That would be a great situation for me (close to what may just be one of the world's best new coasters).

EDIT : And if you guys plan on a trip up this way, stop at Michigan's Adventure and I'll meet you guys there for the day. You can't pass up a ride on ol' Timbers.

We will definitely be getting up that way soon. John wants to take me ice fishing! :? Sounds cold to me but he insists that you will have a tent and heater out on the ice so you don't freeze your a$$ off.

We'll plan a day out at MichAdv.

Let me find out EXACTLY where John is from there and I'll post it. :)

Eeek.. I dunno about a visit to MiA.. I wasn't too terribly impressed with the park, and Shivering Timbers is a shadow of what it used to be thanks to Cedar Fair. In fact, it would take a couple rides of rediculous preportions to even get me to set foot in that state again, let alone the park.

Definitely definitely going to Beech Bend, HW, IB, and probably PKI next year though. We've (as in my family) already booked a condo in French Lick, Indiana for a week! More details as they come...

I would rather go back to Six Flags Hillbilly Kingdom than go to that sorry excuse of a park called MiA. As a matter of a fact, I would rather go to any other park rather than any other Cedar Fair park (Except maybe Knotts).

I'm somewhat surprised by the state that ST is in now. Dave, did you ever get the chance to ride ST in it's youth? I have been under the impression that it was a great airtime machine, (at least in it's first few years). Apparently, CF has let this park and its coasters degrade into a sad state. (wasn't MIA where the kaliedescope ride collapse and trapped those people last year?)

The only accident that's ever happened at Michigan's Adventure happened on the park's "Chaos" ride in 2001. Bolts came loose and the spinning portion of the ride came off the arm that lifts it up and down. I believe 31 people were on the ride, and 29 were checked at a local hospital.

Shivering Timbers is like a teenager, it can be VERY moody. I've ridden it 186 times as of today (was at the park today and rode it once, I hit the waterpark so I could try out Funnel of Fear, my first ProSlide Tornado), and can honestly say I've had some AMAZING rides and some TERRIBLE rides. Night ERT during TimbersFest this year she was giving some great rides that I'll never forget (flying out of your seat in complete darkness is GREAT!).

This year it seems the park has spent a LOT of money improving the waterpark. I've noticed a lot of changes in there, probably because that's what most people go there for : Shivering Timbers and the waterpark. If today wouldn't have been so darn busy, I may have spent a lot more time in the waterpark too.

Rode it back the year sorry Cedar Fair bought the park and it was one hell of a ride. It was my #1 for a short period of time (was even #1 on my golden ticket that year). I like the park during my first visit, but I have to say that the park is in major need of alot of things after my visit during the trek.

Plus I really do not care one bit about the state it is in anyway. I have to say that I like New Jersey better and that is saying alot. I am just sad that I might have a lay over in Detroit on my way to Coaster Alley in september. Might decide to spend extra money than have to step foot back in Crapigan again.

Even Kid Rock spends more time out of his home state since he got smart and bought that house in TN.

Well, I would say it is a very good bet that there will be an event next summer at Holiday World, because there is going to be one this year, in October, sponsored by Coasterbuzz.
