I have a season pass so I'll probably be going up there a few times this year (hopefully I'll be able to go for Griffon's grand opening). If you ever want to go just let me know. Of course, I can't really offer you much in the way of overnight accomodations. I have a wonderful couch.

Nothing wrong with sleeping on the couch.
Do you normally just go up and drive back the same day?
I'm guessing it's about 3.5 hours from Raleigh?
