(Referring to this thread)

Well, I do appologize for the delay but it is actually at the presses as we post. There was a last minute change to the liner notes for a name misspelling that was corrected which pushed it out about 3 days. We should have the discs in our hands in about a week and a half. :D

That being said, we have upcoming plans forming around several gigs now that the album thingy is done. One will be the CD release party which should happen sometime near the end of August. I'll be sure to post once we have the location and date. We will also be playing the Cave again (of course) within the next month or so. We have a corporate party gig that we will be playing for someone who inquired through David and a couple of gigs through the end of year at various locations. Possibly back to Raleigh Music Hall. When these gigs all get confirmed times/dates, I will post them here as well as under the gigs/shows tab on Reverbnation.

We started full band rehearsals again last night and I feel that for the first time, I can stop being so critical about myself and my songs and realize that I am doing this because I love to do it. I have spent alot of time and effort working on my songs. Are they the greatest things ever written...? Not by a longshot but they are good. I tend to beat myself up pretty badly over lyrics, vocals, etc. With time iv'e come to feel free to have more fun with it instead of getting bent out of shape over every nitpicky detail. Like Dempsey and I have said from the beginning, this has never been about money or ego, its because we love to do it. Once I get the first disc in my hands I think it will finally put the polish on a true sense of accomplishment for me and the band.

Sweet. I've been passing the link to the album around to my friends so I know they are checking it out.

I don't know if it is my favorite, but that is definitely one of them. My roommate (Matthew) liked the album when he listened to it on the ReverbNation stream.

The big day has finally come.

This is the proper way to sample the Down by Avalon album. First, you observe, noting the various melodies and harmonies.

Next, swirl it around a little bit to bring out the more subtle elements.

Now, inhale and take in the varying instrumentation and slick production.

Finally, savor and enjoy.

I added DBA to Last.fm http://www.last.fm/music/Down+by+Avalon

I'm not sure why it used that picture instead of the one I uploaded from The Cave, but oh well. I didn't know what to write for the bio either, and I don't know how to add an album either. I think you have to be the label or the band to do a lot of stuff.

Also added to this site I just recently found, Rate Your Music http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/down_by_avalon

Still awaiting approval there.
