There's several "save the Dipper" sites and facebook pages that have popped up.

I hope that someone is able to save it.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to acknowledge that the Dipper, Raging Wolf Bobs, and Villian are for sale. No info from them yet, but stay tuned! ·

I read somewhere that was actually a real site. I know it looks pretty fake though, I hope it is for real.

I guess we'll know for sure if the wrecking ball starts wacking dipper.

Well it seems to be reliable.

ACE is also trying to save Big Dipper.

Reposted from Ray on The GAP:
News from a friend at Geauga Lake right now. Called him as they auctioned off the Dipper. They started the bidding at $50,000 and 1 person bid $5,000 for it! Rumored to be Martin & Vleminckx Amusement Rides at the moment.

They are the ones that was trying to sell ut to begin with

start bidding at 50,000, some guy bids 5000 and they sell it to him?? wtf. i would have rather no one bought it, therefore it would have been moved FTA: Anything not sold will go to other Cedar Fair parks, said Norton Auctioneers president.

Couldnt we have come up with $5001??

ahh well

FYI a local news station said that ACE was offered the coaster for free; they would just have to pay to relocate it. ACE said no.

ACE is denying that this happened.

Just before the 1926 roller coaster was auctioned off, Norton told the crowd that Cedar Fair had offered the American Coaster Enthusiasts the ride.

"That's false," a voice from the crowd piped up. The voice belonged to Russell Township resident Carole Sanderson, an ACE past-president.

"Get that woman out of here. Security, remove her from the park," Norton shouted back.
