Greetings from Freiburg, Germany. Above is the Neuschwanstein Castle near Füssen and the Augustiner Beer Gardens in Munich. I spent yesterday visiting the castle and then the evening on a bar crawl to some of the major beer halls and gardens in Munich. Amazingly I had no hangover because German beer is so pure and of high quality. Today was a 3 hour walking tour of the city, and then I traveled via the fantastic ICE trains to Freiburg, a great mid-sized college town in the south. Tomorrow I will visit Europa Park.

Photo card reader doesn't seem to be working, so no images. After complimenting the German trains yesterday, I had issues today getting to Europa Park and getting back. Fortunately, the large crowds I had expected did not show up, and lines were short to non existent, so being a little late did not matter. It was supposed to rain all day, but held off until about an hour before park closing, drenching everyone. Europa Park is absolutely stunning. Probably my new favorite park; I have never seen such a beautiful park, and there are just so many interesting rides that it is hard to wrap your head around it.

Also, I suspect that I have developed plantar fasciitis which means that by continuing this pace for 10 more days I might do permanent foot damage. WORTH IT.

I've made it to a warm and sunny Tuscany after being on what seemed to be the top of the world yesterday. A trip up the Jungfrau was the most amazing thing I have done on this trip I believe. After two fairly relaxed days in Switzerland, I spent today traveling to Florence by train, with a 4 hour stop in Venice in which I explored the city by getting lost and then making it to my train seconds before it left. I met up with Matthew tonight, and we will be spending a couple days here in Italy. This is probably the best hostel yet, and it even has free Internet and free breakfast.
