I tried to have fun without you guys. It was hard, but I think I managed.
By the way, there's a little Whootah shoutout in the Tommy and James TR: http://tommyandjames.net/sfogsf07.html

Saturday was ACE Southeast's annual Spring Fling event at Six Flags Over Georgia. After battling terrible traffic in the city with the worst drivers I have ever seen, I finally made it to Atlanta and met up with Casey, Scott, Diane, and Judi for dinner.
Casey and Diane look tired because we had to be at the park shortly after 7 AM.
The first ride during morning ERT (and my first ride of the year) was Georgia Scorcher.
For some reason I felt like taking pictures of myself today. There's Goliath above me, which we got plenty of rides on during the morning ERT.
Here is Casey taking a solo ride on the worst coaster in the park.
Scream Machine was also up and running well during the morning session.
Monster Plantation! It and the train around the park were the only rides we rode during the day.
Closed for the whole day and valleyed between the loop and the boomerang. Shocking!
Lunch time at the picnic pavilions.
At lunch they auctioned off the control panel to Casey's precious Free Fall, which was removed before the season.
Judi won the auction for a price that I'm not even going to mention.
Since Judi won the auction, Robert also gave her a ticket for the photo walkback. Casey and I went on it. It was two hours long, and we covered virtually every square inch of the back areas and boneyards of the park. Here I am in front of the Great American Scream Machine's first drop.
A view of the coaster that most people don't see.
Only coaster nerds would find any entertainment whatsoever in this junk.
This would look good in my apartment.
These too.
whootah that's some high quality "landscape."
Not sure I would agree with that.
Casey found the Free Fall entrance sign.
This is some high quality "plumbing."
Here is the computer that runs Superman.
Like ohmahgawd I'm totally in the Superman control room I'm totally freaking out right now.
ACEers on the tracks.
Now we are in the Goliath control room. Oh the excitement.
Fun.
Yep, it's a B&M hyper coaster.
Casey is very sad. We found the remains of Free Fall. Of course, I still haven't figured out what he found appealing in that back shattering piece of junk.
A close-up view of Mind Bender.
Such an awesomefied ride.
Dave seems to be thoroughly enjoying the Looney Toons show they did at the theater before the evening ERT.
whootah the event t-shirt is actually something I would wear in public.
Three hours of night ERT begins with Mind Bender.
Goliath lookin pretty as the sun sets.
There was enough ERT for everyone to get as many night rides on Goliath as they could ever need.
Georgia Cyclone was rough and wild as always.
This is one of my favorite rides in the park even if it does try to put you in the hospital.
Acrophobia was up for night ERT. I love it, but it's not a very male friendly ride.
Diane, on the other hand, rode it for an hour by herself before they closed it.
The "line" for Goliath during ERT.
Everybody had a blast, of course. If ERT had gone on much longer I probably would have gotten sick.
I try to take a picture of myself and fail.
Success this time, plus a bonus pose from Tommy.
Casey about to head up the lift for another ride.
Here's Danny and myself about to get on Goliath.
Scott's energy level does not dissipate. Ever.
Apparently Casey is a midget.
Time to go home after a long and awesomefied day.
Later Goliath.
Nothing is more luxurious after a day at the park than the Wendy's drive-through.
I came home to find this picture on my camera. Apparently I was amusing everyone else in the room by doing some weird things in my sleep.
Yeah I must have been passed out pretty hard.
Goodbye to Six Flags Sunday morning as I head up the road toward Charlotte.
I had to check out the Cedar Fair-ized Carowinds on my way home.
As expected, the trash cans have arrived.
The Skytower has received the Knott's treatment.
I laughed.
Most importantly, the Flyers are running as good as ever.
Everybody is excited to be riding Fairly Odd Coaster.
That's right. We rode Chopper Chase, despite the fact that I vowed never to set foot in one of those cars after being made aware of certain activities that happened in one.
This view from the Skytower looks a little different now.
The "new" ride was not open yet.
After getting in a few rides and my Maxx pass processed, I headed back to Raleigh. As always, it was great to see old friends, and to meet some new ones as well. Look forward to a video soon!
